As part of the evolution of our HR team, we are now looking to recruit a Learning & Development Business Partner to join our dynamic, professional and dedicated HR team.

Reporting into the HR Director, this role will support the delivery of all elements of the Learning & Development strategy across all of MWUK Limited in the UK. The role is predominantly be based in Castle Donington with an expectation of travel to Thornbury, Long Eaton and Castle Eden as required. There may be occasional travel to Northern Ireland and Holland.

Job Purpose

As our Learning & Development Business Partner, you will be the first point of contact for all training and development matters. Working closely with the HR Business Partners at Castle Donington and Thornbury, it includes: training administration, learning design and delivery, as well as training promotion across the MWUK businesses and externally with training providers.

Working closely with key internal and external stakeholders, this role has responsibility for the effective running of a variety of learning activities including seminars, webinars, learning programmes and seminars in addition to e-learning.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Training Delivery:

Design and delivery of core business learning including: Induction, Customer Service, PDRs and objective setting

Initiate and manage relationships with third-party providers

Provide professional training support to mentors and coaches, ensuring that all staff are appropriately supported as necessary

Training Administration

Manage delegate waiting lists, attendance and forthcoming events

Management of the Learning Management System

Create and implement action plans and training plans – and work with HR BP’s to develop succession plans

Creation and development of all policies and processes relating to learning

Management of e-learning systems

L&D Strategy and development

Work with the HR Director and contribute to enhance and develop the People Strategy

Support with the creation and review of L&D related policies

Work with the Talent Acquisition Co-ordinator on talent review processes

Develop a strategic approach to Apprenticeship Levy

Reporting

Produce regular weekly and monthly reports as required

Responsible and accountable for all L&D spend, maintaining budget on a monthly basis and reporting accordingly

Manage costs and resource, reporting return-on-investment

Track, record and report learning activities and attendance

Provide data to feed into corporate reports

Ensure all employees are legally compliant with legal and technical training needs

To support any audits, providing information as necessary

Apprenticeship Levy

Manage costs and resource, reporting monthly on the utilisation of the Apprenticeship Levy

Responsible and accountable for all L&D Apprenticeship Levy spend, off-setting against budget

Communications

Work with Directors and Managers across the business, developing relationships and an understanding of their requirements in order to ensure that L&D makes a positive difference to the service provided, improving employee engagement, leadership and management capabilities as well as retention.

Attend management meetings to provide L&D updates

Manage the L&D calendar of activities and promulgation

Communicate and maintain all L&D pages on the intranet

Work with HRBP to promote and distribute the Employee Engagement Survey

About You

You will be a CIPD qualified individual with a background and experience in planning and scheduling Learning & Development activities as well as experience of delivering training.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have an outgoing and engaging personality to build excellent working relationships.

You will need to be equally comfortable executing your own administration as well as delivery of training; you will have autonomy and accountability but within the wider HR team for support and collaboration.

Experience around budget management, coaching and mentoring as well as building a Learning & Development strategy would be preferred but we are happy to support you with additional training in these areas if this is something you have the desire to learn.

Predominately based in Castle Donington, you must have a driving licence and be able to travel as and when require to Thornbury, Castle Eden or other locations to support our business; this travel will depend purely on the needs of the business but on average, it is likely to be 2-3 times a month.
