Job Purpose

This role will provide interim resource to the Group Accounts team to help provide financial analysis, internal reporting and business partnering for the UK group, as well as supporting the wider finance team.

The role involves interacting with all levels of the business, from senior stakeholders and the finance team as a whole.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The full time role would include all of the below responsibilities. Responsibilities would be reduced proportionately for any role offered on part time basis. There is a list below of the key responsibilities and the duties involved bullet pointed.

Sales Analyst

  • Weekly & monthly sales reporting for the Alexandra brand including analyzing sales trends and variances to plan
  • Compile & analyse rolling 12 month sales forecast for the Alexandra brand

Cost Centre Business Partnering

  • Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams of several key departments in the business
  • Perform high quality financial analyses including KPI reporting & variance analysis to help the business areas understand their areas of spend and deliver against their financial objectives
  • Support these departments with regular reforecasting of their cost centres including variance analyses and FTE modelling

Alexandra Online Finance Lead

  • Take the overall lead on all financial aspects of our online Alexandra offering, encompassing the Alexandra website and Amazon & eBay seller sites
  • Perform monthly reporting on the financial results of these seller sites, including variance analyses and quarterly reforecasting
  • Ensure financial controls and processes are established to ensure accurate financial reporting and reconciliation with third parties

Rebate Accounting

  • Perform the financial accounting & reporting of the business’ rebate liability
  • Ensure rebate accrual is fully reconciled and understood each month

Holland subsidiary financial accounting

  • Perform all monthly accounting tasks to support the accurate financial reporting of our Holland subsidiary
  • Ensure the Holland B/S is fully reconciled on time each month and all balances are supportable

PPE sales reporting & dashboard

  • Compile monthly data to support PPE sales and profitability reporting of the PPE arm of our business
  • Perform analysis and KPI reporting as required to help the business understand performance

Provide support to other finance team members

  • Reconciliations and other ad-hoc finance support as required according to workload

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required


  • Aptitude to working with numbers quickly and accurately
  • Previous experience of working in an analyst or business partnering role
  • Able to produce & present high quality financial information to a range of stakeholders
  • Flexible and enthusiastic outlook, capable of working on own initiative and delivering finance objectives as part of a wider team
  • Qualified CIMA or ACCA accountant or actively working towards latter stages of qualification
  • Work well under pressure and work well to deadlines


  • Excellent Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP's etc. and modelling large quantities of data
  • Demonstration of commercial acumen and wider business knowledge
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to other UK sites as required
