Dimensions Transform Fabric Into School Futures

In October 2025, colleagues from Dimensions travelled to Dhaka, Bangladesh, for a purpose-driven visit that combined transparency, compliance diligence, and societal impact. In collaboration with a customer from the Finance and Banking industry, the trip included a tour of Dimensions’ Bangladesh office, visits to partnering factories, and a final stop at the Glory Future Model School, highlighting the tangible outcomes of circularity and responsible sourcing.

Visiting the factories allowed Dimensions to reinforce the integrity of their supply chains and demonstrate that ethical practices extend beyond policies.

For our customers, seeing these partnerships firsthand builds confidence and trust in the commitments we make.” said Karen Harper, Account Manager at Dimensions.

Turning Fabric into Opportunity

Following the launch of the customer’s new uniform collection, Dimensions identified an opportunity to repurpose the previous uniform fabric as a resource for a new project, a resource for change. This fabric was transformed into new school uniforms for more than 300 children at the Glory Future Model School.

Ian McGinty, Commercial Director at Dimensions said:

"Seeing the children at Glory Future Model School receive their new uniforms was incredibly rewarding. It’s moments like these that show the real impact of true partnership with our customers, working together to create positive change for the community while staying true to our shared commitment to sustainability."

Two Dimensions partner factories contributed their expertise and labour, with one factory designing and manufacturing the shirts, and another creating the trousers. Beyond uniforms, Dimensions provided backpacks and shoes, while the customer donated essential stationery, including pens and notepads. The initiative reflects the customer’s wider sustainability focus: minimising plastic and waste in their uniform range.

A Legacy of Impact

Mi Hub group, through its brand Dimensions, has supported the Glory Future Model School since 2018, where children come from disadvantaged families living in the slums. Over the years, the Group has consistently found ways to repurpose obsolete materials and leverage customer partnerships to create positive social impact.

In 2018, Dimensions donated approximately $14,000 to cover study essentials, university fees, and uniforms for three female students, all of whom completed their studies and graduated. Another notable success story sees a former student, funded through Dimensions’ programmes, achieve a Master’s degree and return to the school as a teacher.

In 2019, Dimensions funded the annual cost of daily milk for around 255 students.

In April 2020, during the pandemic lockdowns, local families faced serious challenges accessing essential food supplies. Dimensions stepped in to support 210 families, around 840 individuals, by distributing food parcels containing cereals, pulses, long-lasting vegetables, oil, salt, and soap.

Sudhir Nair, Bangladesh Country Manager at Mi Hub, said:

“Being on the ground in Dhaka and seeing the difference this initiative has made for the children at Glory Future Model School is truly inspiring. Dimensions, and the wider Mi Hub Group, has supported the school since 2018, and this latest project builds on years of collaboration, providing dignity to these underprivileged children and showing how sustained commitment and partnership with our customers and factory partners can turn sustainability into real, lasting impact for the community.”

Recognition and What’s Next

The collaboration, alongside a range of other initiatives undertaken by the customer and Dimensions to reduce plastic and minimise waste in the new collection, earned recognition within the customer’s organization. Plans are already underway to continue supporting the school, with Dimensions committed to fostering the ongoing partnership and providing additional resources as needed.

This initiative demonstrates how thoughtful, purpose-led actions in the supply chain can create meaningful change. From giving new life to fabric, to futures transformed, Dimensions show that circularity, compliance, and community impact can go hand in hand, delivering value for both people and planet.
