We are recruiting for a Costing and Business Case Executive to work as part of the product life cycle to ensure garments are manufactured to the highest quality in the most cost effective way possible. Managing multiple stakeholders both internally and externally, means this role is fast paced, demanding and high pressure to ensure efficiencies are achieved without compromising on quality.

This role would suit an individual with a textiles background who has had exposure to procurement, tenders and sales negotiations who enjoys being at the cutting edge (excuse the pun!) of the commercial side of the business.

Role Summary

Working as part of the Sourcing team, you will attend project meetings, negotiate with suppliers, and liaise with Purchasing, Technical and Commercial teams to produce accurate Business Case costs in a timely manner. Identify the optimum supply routes, giving due consideration to capacities, lead-times and any technical particulars and maintain relevant business systems.

Key Responsibilities

· Compilation of style level garment costs and conduct comparisons.

· Attending relevant project meetings and updating the group on progress.

· Contact manufacturers and stockists to obtain costs, and enter into price negotiations as required.

· Validation of any supply base capacity and lead-time considerations.

· Developing and maintaining spreadsheets, formulas and database applications, to present costs in relevant formats.

· Maintenance of the central supplier cost database.

· Generation of the initial critical path, to manage delivery of fabric developments, garment samples and costs to the required timeline.

· Presentation of alternative costing scenarios, given the requirements of the project brief.

Qualifications, skills and abilities:

You will have a high level of textiles based product/technical knowledge as well as experienced in detailed supplier negotiations. Specific experience of dealing with the Far East would be a huge advantage as would experience in costing product and building costs to a landed price including duty regimes.

You will be an excellent communicator with a confident manner who has strong problem solving skills and is agile in your way of approaching issues. You will not be afraid to challenge suppliers or the status quo within Dimensions. You will need to make decisive decisions and able to quickly weigh up alternative solutions. You will be a team player to support your colleagues but also able to manage and organise your own workload. You will be working to tight deadlines and as such need to enjoy working under pressure.
